Autodesk had first-quarter revenues of $599 million and net income of $95 million, compared with net income of $83 million in the first quarter of last year.
International markets, especially emerging economies, were credited for the growth, along with strong growth of the company's 3-D products.
Revenue from the emerging economies sector increased 41 percent over the previous year's fiscal first quarter and represented 17 percent of total revenue, said Autodesk President and CEO Carl Bass.
