San Rafael resident John Sugg Jr., vice president and private banker in the wealth and institutional management division for San Jose-based Comerica Bank, is a national winner of the 2007 Chairman’s Outstanding Achievement Award for sales performance.Maxine “Max” Mendoza was appointed assistant vice president and St. Helena office manager at Napa-based Mechanics Bank.
Diane Berthinier joined Santa Rosa-based Ryan Mortgage Co. as a loan consultant specializing in commercial and residential financing.
Santa Rosa-based Summit State Bank appointed Cloverdale resident Guy Dana chief credit officer. Mr. Dana has close to 30 years banking experience in the Bay Area.
Community Organizations
Lia Rowley, founder and executive director of The Children’s Village of Sonoma County, received a national Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis Award, of the Jefferson Awards for Outstanding Public Service to a Local Community. The Children’s Village provides nurturing homes in a multi-generational enriched environment for children and their siblings in foster care.Cynthia Murray received Northbay Family Homes’ Key in the Door award for launching the organization’s Employ-ers Empowering Homeownership initiative. Ms. Murray is president
and CEO of the North Bay Leadership Council and a former Marin County supervisor and Novato City Council member.
Petaluma-based Pep Housing appointed David Riedel to its board of directors. Mr. Riedel is assistant vice president and branch manager of
the Petaluma Washington Square branch of Wells Fargo Bank. Pep Housing is a nonprofit provider of affordable housing for low-income seniors in the North Bay.
The YWCA of Sonoma County elected Barbara Puentes to its board of directors. Ms. Puentes is the director of purchasing and logistics at Icon Estates Wine Co. in St. Helena.

Kaiser Permanente Santa Rosa Medical Center’s family medicine department added Jenny Sullivan, James Schieberl, Kaye Cunningham and David Pastran to its staff of physicians.Hospitality
The Mayacama club in Santa Rosa hired Hans Holzmann as wine director. He was sommelier and corporate wine director for Bonita Bay Group in Florida.Manufacturing
Richard Gray was promoted to president and CEO of Larkspur-based Clarus Transphase Scientific Inc. The company develops and manufactures jewelry products for golfers and other sportspeople.Real Estate
