Dick Fletcher was named first vice president by Tamalpais Bank in San Rafael. Mr. Fletcher will be responsible for commercial banking relationships in Marin County from the Corte Madera branch.

Sonoma State provost Eduardo Ochoa, former area high-tech executives Joseph Zils and Lindsay Austin and city of Santa Rosa Chief Technology Officer Eric McHenry joined the Sonoma Mountain Business Cluster’s board of directors.

Health Care

Golden Living Centers of California named Saralyn Bowen district director of marketing for its four Wine Country Living Centers.



Santa Rosa dentist Andrew  McCormick received a Partners in Peace Award at the 24th Annual American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry Scientific Session in New Orleans.   

Dr. Francis Parnell began his candidacy for a seat on the Marin Healthcare District Board for

the November election. He is an ear, nose and throat surgeon and 28-year member of the Marin General Hospital staff.

Community Organizations

The Santa Rosa Symphony hired Horacio Romero as the symphony’s new box office and Internet marketing manager. A classically trained flautist and cellist, Mr. Romero has ten years of retail customer service experience. He previously held the position of assistant box office manager at the Wells Fargo Center.

Real Estate

McGuire Real Estate, a San Francisco-based real estate company, appointed Aleksander Londero as a Realtor associate in its Mill Valley office. Mr. Londero joins McGuire from Keller Williams Realty in Larkspur. He earned the certified international property specialist designation from the National Association of Realtors in addition to designations as an E-Pro and certified residential specialist.



Eric Sylvester was named investment associate at NorCal Commercial Inc. of Larkspur. Mr. Silvester has been a licensed real estate professional since 2006.

Technology

Ralph Santitoro, director of Carrier Ethernet Solutions at Petaluma-based Turin Networks Inc., was elected to the Metro Ethernet Forum’s board of directors.

   

Wine

Steven Poirier was appointed vice president and general manager of Canada  business of Napa-based Foster’s America in Napa. Gregory Beasley was appointed vice president of innovation.



The Meritage Association, a wine industry organization in Healdsburg dedicated to promoting wines blended in the tradition of Bordeaux, elected a new slate of officers. Assuming the role of chairman through April 2009 is Kim Stare Wallace, vice president of Dry Creek Vineyard. Also elected were Lee Nordland, estate manager at Icon Estates, as treasurer, and Stephanie Trotter-Zacharia, general manager of Casa Nuestra Winery, as secretary.
